In order to allow complete freedom for The Cornerstone Seminary to operate in a manner consistent with its biblical philosophy of pastoral training, without subjection to outside influences, the seminary does not intend to become accredited with any regional agency. The seminary is committed to operate at a post-graduate academic level equal to or higher than those set by accrediting agencies, but it does not believe accreditation necessarily guarantees the effective provision of ministry training. The Cornerstone Seminary Board of Directors has taken the position that this non-accreditation decision will be justified by the character and resultant ministry of the men that it graduates.

The seminary operates as a religious exempt institution under the Private Post-secondary Education Act of 2009, as provided for in section 94874(e)(1).
