Steve is the Senior Pastor of Community Bible Church in Vallejo, California, a church which he founded in 1980. The church began with 25 people in Sunday services and one midweek Bible study. With a focus upon expository preaching, discipleship, and missions, the Lord has caused the church to grow to 1,000. Prior to coming to Vallejo, Steve served for four years as an associate pastor at Valley Bible Church in Hercules, California. Steve is co-founder of Grace School of Theology and Ministry in Pleasant Hill, California, where he has taught Systematic Theology, Bible Exposition, and Preaching for 25 years. He has preached and taught pastors’ conferences in India, Africa, Europe, Central America, and the Philippines. A graduate of California State University at Hayward, and Dallas Theological Seminary, Steve has authored over ten books, booklets, and study materials including; Free Justification: The Glorification of Christ in the Justification of a Sinner; Jesus and the Depressed; Once Saved, Always Changed; Christ’s Infinite Fullness; and Election: God’s Unchanging Love for His People. Steve and his wife Karen have three children and four grandchildren.

Brian graduated from the College of Architecture at Clemson University in 1985. He then served as an officer in the United States Air Force performing duties as a B-52G Instructor, Electronic Warfare Officer stationed on the island of Guam. While there, he also ministered as an elder and interim pastor of Bayview Baptist Church. He pastored Calvary Baptist Church in Burbank, California for eleven years. While pastoring, Brian also taught as a faculty associate in biblical languages, hermeneutics, and expository preaching at The Master’s Seminary from 1996 to 2003 and wrote articles for theological publications. He currently serves on the board of Ministerios Evangelico de las Americas, a ministry training center in Honduras. Brian also provides pulpit supply for many local churches, speaks at conferences and serves as an elder and Home Fellowship Group leader at Community Bible Church in Vallejo, CA. Brian and his wife Myra have eight children. He has served at The Cornerstone Seminary since its inception.

Todd graduated from Emory University with a B.S. in Anthropology. Following college, he spent two years in China doing missionary work. Since returning, Todd has worked as a Church Administrator and Pastoral Intern at churches in Berkeley and Oakland. He now serves as the Registrar for the seminary and Executive Pastoral Assistant at Community Bible Church. Todd lives in Vallejo with his wife, Rhonda.

Ed migrated to California from the Phillipines in August 1985. He obtained his accounting degree from The University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Phillipines in November 1966. Prior to joining The Cornerstone Seminary in September 2004 he worked as an accountant in four different companies here in the Bay Area. Currently, he is on staff with Community Bible Church, serving in the finance department and the church bookstore. Ed and his wife Susan live in American Canyon, and have two married sons and one granddaughter.

A native of upstate New York, Mike brings extensive pastoral experience. Before seminary, from 1985 to 1997, he served as a pastoral assistant at Middlesex Baptist Church (NY). While in seminary, he taught classes in the Logos Bible Institute at Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, California. He was also a faculty associate at The Master’s Seminary teaching in expository preaching. In 1997, Penn Yan (NY) Bible Church called Mike as their associate pastor. There he was ordained to the Gospel ministry and eventually served as interim senior pastor. While working on his PhD at Westminster Theological Seminary he taught in training ministries at various local churches. From 2004 to 2005 he served as interim pastor-teacher at Heritage Bible Church (NY). He has also carried on an extensive pulpit supply ministry. Mike continues to serve as a Visiting Professor in the LEAD ministry training program at North Hills Community Church in Taylors, SC. His ministry has also taken him to such places as Irpin Biblical Seminary in Kiev (Ukraine). Mike has completed additional postgraduate work at the Institute of Holy Land Studies in Jerusalem (Israel), Universite de Geneve in Geneva, Switzerland, and Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.

Vincent graduated with his B.A. in Economics with Distinction, Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California in 1986 and M.Div., Summa Cum Laude, from The Master’s Seminary in 2001. Vincent formerly taught Old Testament Studies at the Logos Bible Institute at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California and biblical languages as a substitute at The Master’s Seminary. He has also served as a short-term missionary to Osaka, Japan. Vincent is currently in his sixth year as the founding Pastor-Teacher of Grace Church of Sacramento in Orangevale, California.

Mike grew up in Memphis, TN and entered the Marine Corp after high school. After his discharge in 1974, Mike studied Electronic Engineering at the State Technical Institute at Memphis, TN before transferring to Mid South Bible College, where he earned a certificate in Biblical and Theological Studies. He then worked for Federal Express Corporation until entering mission service in 1983 in the Philippines. After five years of mission service, Mike joined the staff of West Hills Community Church in Morgan Hill, California in 1987. He became the Senior Pastor in 1989 where he continues to serve today and has seen the church grow from a membership of 170 to 700. In addition to his pastoral duties, Mike is chairman of the U.S. Board for Action International Ministries and is the founder of the Spurgeon Center for Ministry and Missions, a church based training institute, where he teaches Bible and Theology. Mike also completed a course in Islamic Studies through the William Carey International University in Pasadena, California and holds a certificate in Expository Preaching through Dr. Stephen Olford’s Encounter Ministries. Mike lives in Morgan Hill with his wife Raquel and their two sons, who are now in college.

After earning his B.S. in Political Science from University of California at Los Angeles, Rick attended The Master’s Seminary and earned his M.Div. in 1992. Shortly after graduating, he served as both the College Pastor and Department Head over Student Ministries at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, for three years. During that time he taught a semester course in Biblical Counseling at The Master’s College. In 1998, Rick moved to Northern California where he currently serves as the Lead Pastor of Redeeming Grace Church in Redwood City. He is married to wife LaRayne and has four children.

John graduated summa cum laude at Grace School of Theology and Ministry in 1984. John returned to GSTM in 1992 as an instructor in Biblical Counseling. John has a heart to point people to Christ as the all-sufficient Savior and Shepherd of souls. John and his wife Sherilynn have three children.

Born and raised in the Chicago area, Vince came to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ in 1990 while serving in the U.S. Navy. He first sensed God’s call to the ministry while serving in a single adult and Junior High ministry at a church in Hawaii. With his church leadership’s full backing, Vince moved to southern California to complete his education. While in graduate school he served for six years as the college pastor at The Evangelical Free Church of the Canyons in Canyon Country, CA where he developed a passion for seeing the gospel transform people’s lives. Vince and his wife Rainie met in college and were married during graduate school (1997) and have two daughters, Lydia (2002) and Evangeline (2005) as well as a son, John (2007).

Kent has served as Pastor of Adult Ministries at NorthCreek Church since 2004. Before serving at NorthCreek, Kent served at The Master’s College in Southern California as the Associate Dean of Students. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from The Master’s College (1997), a Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Ministries (2000) and a Masters of Theology in Old Testament (2004) from The Master’s Seminary, and is currently completing a Doctorate of Ministry in Preaching from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He helped to found The Master’s College satellite campus on NorthCreek’s campus, where he has taught since 2005. Kent and his wife Julie have five children.

John began his pastoral ministry at Dartmouth Baptist Church in Dartmouth, Massachusetts in 1981. He subsequently founded and pastored Family Bible Church of Pleasanton, California where he ministered for seven years. He then served four years as Director of Adult Ministries at Community Bible Church in Vallejo. He has been Pastor of Grace Church of Napa Valley since 1994. John taught theology at Grace School of Theology and Ministry for over 20 years. In addition he has trained pastors in Russia and the Philippines. He has his B.A. from Cal in Ancient Near Eastern Archaeology and History, a M.A. in Biblical Studies from Talbot Seminary and a M.Div. from The Cornerstone Seminary. He recently completed his Doctor of Ministries from The Master’s Seminary. John and his wife Pam were married in 1973 and have four children and twelve grandchildren.

Phillip is Associate Pastor at Community Bible Church in Vallejo, California, where he has served since 1996. He graduated summa cum laude from Grace School of Theology and Ministry in 2000 and is currently in the process of achieving his M.A. in Theology from Trinity Theological Seminary. Phillip has developed a leadership training course for both men and women and a discipleship training manual for the discipleship ministry he oversees. He also oversees and directs those who teach Home Fellowship Groups and Adult Sunday School. Phillip has taught at pastors’ conferences in Mexico, India and South Africa. In addition, he has written a booklet entitled Equality and Diversity: How God Has Created Men and Women Equal Yet Different. Phillip and his wife Becky have five children.

Born and raised in South India of Canadian missionary parents, Dr. Fox received his B.A. from Prairie Bible College in Canada. He received his M.A. in Management and Communication and holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Religion. He has served as interim pastor of historic Carey Baptist Church in Calcutta, India, where he also taught at Calcutta Bible College specializing in cross-cultural communication. Dr. Fox, a naturalized United States citizen, has served a number of churches both as interim and senior pastor and has also traveled extensively on speaking tours. He has lectured and taught at several Christian colleges here and abroad. He presently teaches at Grace School of Theology and Ministry in Pleasant Hill, California, where he also serves on the Board. He also carries on dynamic ministry speaking and lecturing at local churches, conferences, and retreats. Dr. Fox presently resides in San Jose with his beloved wife Mamselle, who suffered a severe stroke in 1995. She travels with him and is a great spiritual strength and support in his ministry.

Jim and his wife Jennifer have six children.

In 1975, Frank helped establish the Grace School of Theology and Ministry, where he continues to serve today as a teacher of Theology, Bible Exposition, Spiritual Life and Greek Exegesis. During the early 1990s, Frank also taught Theology of Ministry and Preaching classes at Western Seminary in Los Gatos, California. Frank majored in New Testament Greek Exegesis at Talbot Theological Seminary, where he graduated with honors. He did further graduate studies in Theology, Old Testament Exegesis and Preaching at Golden Gate Seminary, New College, and Westminster Theological Seminary. Frank has served in pastoral positions for over 28 years. He presently serves as the Senior Pastor of Calvary Community Church in Brentwood, California, which has been his home since 1997. Frank and his wife Judy have three children and ten grandchildren.

Rick is presently serving as Pastor of Faith Bible Church in Merced, CA. After attending the University of Northern Iowa and The Master’s College (1985-1990), Rick attended The Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, CA, where he received his Master of Divinity degree (1995). He was ordained at Grace Community Church (1995). He served as a College Bible study shepherd intern there for 2 years. He then served at Parkside Church in Chagrin Falls, OH as the Singles/Leadership Pastor under the leadership of Alistair Begg from 1995 to 2002. In August of 2002-2005, Rick was Pastor/teacher at Immanuel Baptist Church in Holland, Michigan. He and his wife Nancy have four children.

Phillip has been active in ministry since the age of fifteen, when he began speaking at youth and Bible conferences. As a student, Phillip has attended a number of schools in the Northern California area, including California Bible Institute in El Sobrante, Western Baptist College (B.S.) in El Cerrito, San Francisco Conservative Baptist Seminary, and Biblical Seminary in Fresno. He received his M.Div. from Denver Baptist College and Seminary in 1976 and his D.Min. from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1986, where he graduated with honors. In 1971, Phillip became the founding pastor-teacher of Valley Bible Church in Hercules, California. Since that time, God has caused the original group of 19 to grow to over 1,000 souls. Phillip was instrumental in founding Grace School of Theology and Ministry, presently located in Pleasant Hill, California, serving on the faculty and as its first president. He was also the Academic Dean and Professor of Pentecostal Bible College in Livermore, California, and an adjunct professor at Western Seminary in Los Gatos, California. Phillip has conducted pastors’ conferences internationally in India, Ukraine, Philippines, and Mexico and has been invited as a guest speaker for Dallas Theological Seminary, Student Life Conferences, and CAM International’s Annual Convocation. He can also be heard weekly on the Truth for Today radio broadcast. Phillip and his wife Caroline have three daughters and enjoy seven grandchildren.

Cliff has been in pastoral ministry since 1989. He and his wife, Debbie, have served in churches in southern California; northern Utah; San Antonio, Texas; and central California. He has also taught in several Christian schools. Over the years Cliff has served as a pastor for children, middle school, high school and adults. He has recently published a book titled, Christian Living Beyond Belief . He has also served as a consulting editor for books by Dr. John MacArthur and Dr. Mark Lauterbach. Cliff has been a presenter at the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS). He is currently a member of ETS as well as the Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals Debbie, and their four children in central California where he is overseeing a church plant.

Scott Menez is the teaching pastor and shepherd at Grace Bible Church of Hollister, California. Born and raised in Walnut Creek, California, Scott became a believer at a young age. He has been church planting for over 25 years in the rural parts of Northern California. At the age of 40 Scott returned to seminary and graduated from The Cornerstone Seminary in Vallejo, California. He has had a passion to train men here in the States as well as train pastors overseas in such countries as the Philippines, India, Russia, and Mexico. Scott has been married to his wife, Gina for 22 years and they have four boys, Colton, Conner, Caleb, and Canon.

He is a professor at Grace School of Theology and Ministry in Pleasant Hill, CA, and is currently teaching Elementary Greek at The Cornerstone Seminary. He and his wife Jennafer have five children.

Tony Sanelli is the founding Pastor-Teacher of Grace Bible Church in Pleasant Hill, California. Born in Central America, he arrived in the United States at an early age and came to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ in 1979. He first sensed the call to preach and teach when leading a Bible study for a San Francisco Bay Area musical group. This desire soon led to an internship and church planting. Since his ordination to the ministry in 1990, Tony has served as a youth pastor, worship leader, church administrator and pastor-teacher. His ministry is driven by the desire to preach and exposit the Scriptures with biblical accuracy, a Christ-centered focus, and pastoral concern. Tony received a Bachelor of Theology degree from The Master’s Seminary in Southern California. In conjunction with his ministry at Grace Bible Church, he also teaches at and serves as president of Grace School of Theology and Ministry. He speaks at various conferences and camps. Tony and his wife Sheri have three children.

After earning his B.S. in Managerial Economics from University of California at Davis, Kevin attended The Master’s Seminary and earned his M.Div. graduating cum laude in 1994. During seminary he served as Bible Study Shepherd at the University of Southern California for 2 years before getting involved in starting Grace Bible Church of Glendale, California, which he eventually pastored for two years. Kevin served as the founding Pastor of Faith Bible Church in Merced for 9 years and currently is serving at First Baptist Church in Merced where he is one of three Bible Institute instructors. Kevin has also taught courses cross-culturally at the Smolensk Bible Institute in Smolensk, Russia. While ministering in the above churches, Kevin has functioned bi-vocationally for the last 12 years by serving as an agency principal of InterWest Insurance Services. Kevin lives in Atwater, California with his wife Mandy and their five children.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from TMS, he served for almost 10 years as a Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor at a church in Simi Valley, CA. Greg is also involved with preaching and teaching ministry at the European Bible Training Centers in Berlin, Germany and Zurich, Switzerland. He and his wife Laurie have four children.

After touring the United States and Canada for three years with a Gospel music group, Doug graduated from the LOGOS Bible Study Center and Los Angeles Baptist College in 1982. He went on to study at Talbot Seminary, Luther Rice Seminary, and Whitefield Theological Seminary. He worked for Phil Johnson at Grace To You as the first Director of Counseling Ministries and traveled and spoke with Dr. John MacArthur at radio Bible Conferences. He was ordained and commissioned by the Elders at Grace Community Church. Doug was the founding pastor of The Shepherd’s Community Church in Canoga Park and served there from 1984 to 1990. He then accepted the call to pastor Middletown Bible Church where he currently ministers, and where he helped to launch Middletown Christian School in 1995. He has had the opportunity to teach pastors in communist Romania, Mexico City, and has spoken at numerous camps, retreats, and pastor’s conferences. He has served as a professor at the LOGOS Bible Study Center, and Grace School of Theology and Ministry in Pleasant Hill, California. He has been published in Reformation and Revival Journal. Doug and his wife Janice have been married 31 years and have four children.

Dave presently ministers as the Director for the Master’s Academy International, which is a consortium of ministry training schools, located in many countries throughout the world. He serves as the Interim Pastor in an upstate New York church and Chairman for the Northeastern region of the Evangelical Theological Society. He focuses ministry interests on assisting others in starting and developing ministries, primarily on the foreign field. He also ministers to and with persons with disabilities through Joni and Friends ministry with the disabled writing curriculum for The Christian Institute on Disability and teaching (Agoura Hills, CA).

Dave has established four church plants and has taught both graduate and undergraduate courses at various bible colleges and seminaries including The Master’s Seminary and Baptist Bible College and Seminary. He has published works primarily in Old Testament and ministry-related journals and books. Dave has served on boards including Accent Books inc. (Denver, CO) the North Los Angeles Regional Center (Los Angeles), All Children’s Hospital (Los Angeles) and a Governor’s Advisory committee (Sacramento).

Before going to seminary, Dr. Hughes was highly involved in singles and college ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ and later in youth ministry at Treasure Valley Bible Church in Boise, Idaho. From 1988 to 1991, Dr. Hughes ministered to young married couples, taught adult Sunday school classes, and served as an elder at Church of the Canyons in Canyon Country, California. During seminary, he helped plant Grace Bible Church in Boise, Idaho, where he served as interim pastor and later as co-pastor. During his ten year ministry there, he helped plant two other churches. In August of 2000, he began serving as the pastor-teacher of Calvary Bible Church in Burbank, California. Dr. Hughes is the author of the book Expository Preaching with Word Pictures , and has a passion for training leaders and teaching them how to preach and teach God’s Word with excellence. Dr. Hughes began serving as an adjunct professor at The Master’s Seminary in 2003.

Phil Johnson is Executive Director of Grace to You. He teaches regularly as a lay pastor at Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, CA. He has been closely associated with John MacArthur since 1981 and edits most of Dr. MacArthur’s major books. Phil is an elder at Grace Church, a trustee of the UK-based Martyn Lloyd-Jones Recordings Trust, a member of FIRE, husband to Darlene, father of three sons (two of them married), and grandfather to two precious babies. Phil is probably best known for his websites, which include The Spurgeon Archive (www.spurgeon.org) and a blog known as Pyromaniacs (teampyro.blogspot.com).

Jay Lucas is the Senior Pastor of Grace Community Church (Washington Court House, Ohio) where he has served since 1999. From 1988 to 1999 he served as Senior Pastor of Penn Yan Bible Church (Penn Yan, New York) which began as a church plant. Jay earned a B.S. in Bible from Baptist Bible College of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania and a M.A. in History from the University of Scranton. He has also taken additional graduate studies in theology at Baptist Bible Seminary (PA) and in history at State University of New York- Binghamton. He was an adjunct instructor in history at Baptist Bible College (1997-1998) and at Cedarville University (OH) 2001-2002. He is the author of Ask Them Why: How to Help Unbelievers Find the Truth. Jay resides in New Holland, Ohio, with his wife Becky. They have six children.

Dr. Tom Nettles is the Professor of Historical Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Tom has also written several books and journal articles. He has been married to wife, Margaret, for over forty years, and they have three children.

Jim Newheiser has served as pastor of Grace Bible Church of North San Diego County, California since 1990. Prior to that he ministered in churches in California, Texas, and Saudi Arabia. He also teaches and serves as the director of the Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship. Jim has lectured in preaching at Westminster Theological Seminary in California. He is a Fellow with the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. God has taken Jim to Korea, India, Spain, Qatar, Oman and the Philippines to teach courses in Preaching, Counseling, Theology, and Ecclesiology. His publications include: Prepare to Proclaim, When Good Kids Make Bad Choices, Opening Up Proverbs, and You Never Stop Being a Parent. He is co-founder and a board member of the Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals (FIRE). He and his wife Caroline have three sons David, Mark, and Daniel.

Lance is the Pastor-Teacher of The Bible Church of Little Rock, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Prior to this, he served for three years as Manager of Ministries at Grace to You Radio and then for seven years as the Senior Associate Pastor and Personal Assistant to Dr. John MacArthur at Grace Community Church in Southern California. In addition to his pastoral ministry, Lance also serves on several boards, including Grace to You, The Master’s College and Seminary, and the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. He has written many articles and has contributed chapters to three books released by John MacArthur and The Master’s College / Seminary Faculty through Thomas Nelson Publishers: Preaching: How to Preach Biblically, Pastoral Ministry: How to Shepherd Biblically, and Counseling: How to Counsel Biblically. He also co-authored The Five Points of Calvinism: Defined, Defended, and Documented. Lance is also a board member and professor at The Expositors Seminary. Lance and his wife, Beth, have eight children and reside in Little Rock.

Dr. Guy Waters is a Professor of New Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. He has a particular interest in the letters and theology of Paul, the use of Scripture in the New Testament, and the Synoptic Gospels. He received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania (1995), his M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary (1998), and his Ph.D. from Duke University (2002). Prior to coming to RTS Jackson in 2007, he spent one year teaching Hellenistic Greek at Duke Divinity School and five years as Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Belhaven College. In 2003, he became a teaching elder in the Mississippi Valley Presbytery (PCA). He has also been the Chair of the Credentials Committee since 2004.

Matt serves as the pastor of Community Bible Church in Vista, California. He has also taught classes at Samara Theological Seminary in Samara, Russia and Southeastern Europe Theological Seminary in Tirana, Albania. He is the author of A Biblical Critique of Infant Baptism and journal articles. Matt also teaches as a faculty associate at The Master’s Seminary. He lives in Vista with his wife, Julie and five children: Jessica, Caleb, Courtney, Jacob, and Zachary.
